The Valuables

What is valuable to you, to God and to unbelievers?

What is your most valuable possession? Your home? Your family? Your job? Your money? Your health? Your life?

Is your faith in God the most valuable treasure you have? If you are a Christian it is.

1 Peter 1:7: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

2 Peter 1:1: Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

Faith in Christ is the thing that will get you to heaven. What is more important than that?

A Christian is redeemed with something very valuable to God.

1 Peter 1:17-19: And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man*s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

The most valuable thing to an unbeliever is the Bible. It is the only thing that can produce in him the faith that he needs.

Romans 10:17: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Another valuable thing to unbelievers is to see your joy.

Psalms 51:12: Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

Another valuable thing to unbelievers is your example.

1 Corinthians 11:1: Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

If the Apostle Paul can say that why can*t you? Paul spent a lot of time telling people how he followed Christ.

You can deliver to him at least three things that are valuable to an unbeliever, the Word of God, your joy and your example. If you deliver to him those three things, God might just deliver to him the faith and the blood of Christ. He might just receive with meekness God*s Word which is able to save him.

James 1:21: Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Don*t keep the valuables under lock and key.
